AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" After landing in the AP Top 25 last week for the first time since 2003, Auburn jumped five spots to No. 17 this week following come-from-behind wins over Ole Miss and Mississippi State. This is the highest the Tigers have been ranked in the AP poll since they were No. 11 on Feb. 21, 2000.

Auburn, the lone unbeaten team left in SEC play, is also now the highest-ranked team in the conference, surpassing Kentucky (No. 18) in this week's AP poll. It's still January, however, and head coach Bruce Pearl knows there's still work to be done.

"We've got to get better to be able to win this league," Pearl said after Saturday's win at Mississippi State. "We have 14 games left. We could win them all or we could lose them all. It's unbelievable. I told the team that the team that wins this league might not be the best team. It's the team that can just get ready to play night in, night out."

Next up is a trip to in-state rival Alabama on Wednesday (6 p.m. CT, SEC Network).
