  • The grand slam was Julien's third of the season Auburn's fifth; it also marked his team-best 15th home run of the year.

Auburn turned in its best showing in the SEC Tournament in 15 seasons ... the Tigers started the tournament 2-0 for the first time since 1999 and won a pair of games in Hoover for the first time since 2003 ... Davis Daniel pitched 5.1 innings of relief and struck out six in the tournament opener vs. Kentucky ... Edouard Julien came through with a walk-off single in the 11th inning against the Wildcats ... it was Auburn's first walk-off in the SEC Tournament since 1999 ... Conor Davis delivered a game-tying, two-run double in the seventh inning of a 9-3 win vs. Ole Miss before Julien went on to hit a grand slam to cap off the scoring against the Rebels and send the Tigers into the winners bracket ... it was Julien's third grand slam of the season and the team's fifth ... he is the first Auburn player with three grand slams in a season since Mailon Kent in 2000 ... Julien also pushed his home run total to 15 -- tied for fifth in the SEC -- and his RBI total to a league best 62 ... he is looking to become the first freshman to lead the league in RBI since JJ Schwarz in 2015 ... Tanner Burns made his SEC Tournament debut vs. Ole Miss and picked up the win after matching a career high with 7.0 innings and allowed just one earned run ... Burns is the first Auburn freshman starting pitcher to earn a win in the SEC Tournament since Daniel Koger in 2012 ... freshman running mate Cody Greenhill also picked up the win in relief in Auburn's tournament opening win vs. Kentucky ...
