Auburn men’s golf earns GCAA Team Academic Award

NORMAN, Okla. – The 2017-18 Auburn men's golf team was named a recipient of the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Team Academic Award, the organization announced Friday.

The Tigers earned the annual award for the ninth-consecutive season, all coming under head coach Nick Clinard. Auburn and South Carolina are the only two programs in the Southeastern Conference to have earned the award every year since the 2009-10 season.

In order to be eligible for the award, teams must submit the GPAs of for each player on its official squad list for the academic year and maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.

The Tigers had four golfers named to the SEC Spring Honor Roll in Graysen Huff, Jovan Rebula, Ben Schlottman and Jacob Solomon. 

Auburn also had five freshmen tabbed to the First Year SEC Academic Honor Roll in Andrew Kozan, Brandon Mancheno, Jake Milanowski, Wells Padgett and Marcus Svensson.
