Six Auburn defensive players highlighted nine Tigers who were voted to 2018 preseason All-SEC teams at Media Days.

Lineman Derrick Brown, linebacker Deshaun Davis and defensive back Jamel Dean earned Second Team preseason honors. Linemen Dontavius Russell and Marlon Davidson, and defensive back Javaris Davis were voted to the Third Team.

Three Tigers received preseason offensive honors. Quarterback Jarrett Stidham and receiver Ryan Davis, who led the SEC with 84 receptions in 2017, were voted to the Second Team. Offensive lineman Marquel Harrell made the Third Team.

Reporters at SEC Media Days picked Auburn, the defending SEC Western Division champion, to finish second in the West. The Tigers received the third most votes for overall SEC Champion.

Here's how media members predicted the order of finish in the SEC West: Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, LSU, Ole Miss and Arkansas.

In the SEC East, reporters picked Georgia to finish ahead of South Carolina, Florida, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
