Women’s Tennis Team, Five Individuals Named to 2018 ITA All-Academic Team

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Auburn women's tennis team was honored as a 2018 ITA All-Academic Team while five individuals earned ITA Scholar-Athlete status, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced.

Senior Andie Dikosavljevic, junior Caroline Turner, sophomores Georgie Axon and Taylor Russo, and freshman Jaeda Daniel were among 4,328 student-athletes across all five divisions of college tennis to be honored.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

The Tigers program, led by head coach Lauren Spencer, was one of 735 teams to pick up All-Academic honors. The award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
