AUBURN, Ala. – Tickets for the 2018 Birmingham Jam are now on sale through the Auburn ticket office. The Auburn men's basketball team will take on UAB in Legacy Arena at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex, Dec. 15.
"I think it is really important to take Auburn basketball throughout the state," head coach Bruce Pearl said. "We've renewed our rivalry with UAB. The games have been some of the most competitive that we play each and every year. The fact that there's passion for basketball on both campuses have made these events compelling.
"We really need the support of our fan base in the Birmingham area so that when we take the floor at the Birmingham Jam and Legacy Arena we're not outnumbered."

During the month of August, 2018-19 Tigers Unlimited, faculty/staff and premium seating season ticket holders had the exclusive access to purchase Birmingham Jam tickets prior to the general public.
The 2018-19 season marks the third-straight campaign that the Tigers have played a game in Birmingham. Last season, Auburn defeated mid-major power Middle Tennessee, 76-70, behind 16 points and seven assists from Jared Harper as well as 14 points and five rebounds by Chuma Okeke.
Auburn's opponent for the 2018 Birmingham Jam will be UAB, which boasts three 20-win seasons in its last four campaigns. The Tigers earned an 85-80 result in Auburn Arena in last year's battle behind Bryce Brown's 27 points on 8-of-14 from the field, including 6-of-9 from downtown.
Auburn brings back 63 percent of its scoring output from the 2017-18 squad, paced by All-SEC guards Brown (15.9) and Harper (13.2). Okeke is the Tigers' top returning rebounder (5.8), while fellow big man Anfernee McLemore comes back as the team's leading shot blocker (2.7).
