FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The remainder of the third round at the Mason Rudolph Championship was canceled Sunday due to inclement weather, and final results will revert back to 36 holes. As a result, the No. 17 Auburn women's golf team will finish its first event in a tie for fourth at 583 (+7).

"We were playing quite well in the third round [Saturday]," Auburn coach Melissa Luellen said. "We felt like we had a chance to probably beat Arizona State and maybe have a top three [finish]. Just to have that opportunity washed away by Mother Nature, it's disappointing. But we play an outdoor sport. Sometimes, it just works out that way."

The Tigers shot 299 (+11) in Saturday's second round at the Vanderbilt Legends Club – North Course. On Friday, they opened the tournament with a score of 284 (-4).

Three different Auburn players finished at even par or under for the tournament. Sophomore Kaleigh Telfer led the way with rounds of 70 (-2) and 73 (+1) to place in a tie for 15th at 1-under. Sophomore Julie McCarthy and junior Elena Hualde Zúñiga finished tied for 22nd after shooting 144 (E) through two rounds.

McCarthy shot a collegiate-best round of 69 (-3) on Friday. She was also one of only two players all weekend who made an eagle at the event.

Auburn also brought Junior Kayley Marschke, who tied for 50th place at 152 (+8), and sophomore Mychael O'Berry, who shot 157 (+13) to tie for 66th.

Vanderbilt won the tournament at 17-under par (559), followed by Arizona State (571), Wake Forest (573), Auburn (284), Clemson (583), LSU (585), Louisville (588), North Carolina (588), Mercer (589), Houston (595), Michigan State (596), Middle Tennessee (596), Missouri (597), Chattanooga (599) and Charlotte (601).
