Gary Taylor sets 2018-19 S&D competition schedule

AUBURN, Ala. – Gary Taylor has finalized the 2018-19 competition schedule for his first season as head coach of Auburn Swimming and Diving, stacking the season with multiple challenging dual meets and a mid-November invitational in Atlanta.
 
"I'm really excited about the upcoming schedule," Taylor said. "It offers some great competition and it allows us to get out of our comfort zone and perform against elite level programs that will prepare us and make us race-ready as we look towards the SEC and NCAA Championships at the end of the season."
 
The Auburn women will compete in seven dual meets while the men will compete in six. Both teams will also take part in the ultra-competitive Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Nov. 15-17.
 
Auburn will travel to three dual meets in the fall, going to Virginia for a two-day meet Oct. 26-27, facing Tennessee on Nov. 9 in Knoxville and Alabama on Dec. 7 in Tuscaloosa.
 
Auburn will host four dual meets at the Martin Aquatics Center, playing host to Florida Gulf Coast in a women's only meet on Oct. 20 and then Georgia Tech (Jan. 5), Texas (Jan. 10) and Florida (Jan. 26) over the course of three weeks in January.
 
Auburn's divers will add the Georgia Invite (Nov. 28-Dec. 1) and the Auburn Diving Invite (Dec. 17-20) to their schedule.
 
The SEC Championships will be held in Athens, Ga., Feb. 19-23. Auburn will once again play host to the Zone B Diving Championships, Mar. 11-13. The NCAA Championships will take place at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, with the women competing Mar. 20-23 and the men Mar. 27-30.
