AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn earned two more fall exhibition victories as the Tigers knocked off Chipola College and Wallace State CC – Hanceville on Sunday. The wins come after beating Pensacola State and Snead State less than 24 hours ago.

"I was amazed at the energy the girls were able to bring today," head coach Mickey Dean said. "Gosh, four games in 24 hours for the first time for a lot of these girls; I was amazed at the level of energy they had the entire time."

Ashlee Swindle lit the candle during Auburn's first game of the day when the right-handed pitcher threw seven-scoreless innings, struck out six batters and allowed only two hits.

Swindle took a perfect game into the fifth inning, but it came to an end with a two-out walk. Her no-hitter was broken up an inning later with a one-out single to left field. She retired the game's final four batters to seal the win.

"During the first game, I thought Ashlee pounded the (strike) zone and went right at them," Dean said. "We were in a great rhythm during that game."

Tannon Snow's two-run home run off the scoreboard highlighted a four-run bottom of the third inning that provided Swindle with all the run support she needed. Brittany Maresette and Alyssa Rivera had run-scoring hits, too, to proceed Snow's home run.

Against Wallace State, Auburn rallied from a three-run third-inning deficit to score six unanswered to keep its perfect fall exhibition record intact.

In the bottom of the third, Rivera plated the first run with a single out of the leadoff spot. Justus Perry tied the game with a two-out double to left field. Three innings later, Auburn took the lead on bunt attempt by freshman Jaylin Calvert as Jadia Jones scored from third on the play to push the Tigers ahead. Madi Perry and Calvert added insurance runs as Perry scored from first and Calvert rounded the entire infield after the Lions' defensive miscues.

"I just saw her turn her back to me and could hear my coaches yelling go to second," Calvert said on the play. "Then I saw the ball go into the outfield, so I knew I had to book it now and just started running. I really just wanted to do whatever I could to help the team win."

Auburn will resume its fall softball action on Thursday when the Tigers travel to Georgia Tech with a first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
