AUBURN, Ala. – Eight regular-season home games and four regional road trips highlight the 2021-22 Auburn women's basketball non-conference schedule, which was announced Friday by head coach Johnnie Harris.
The Tigers' first game action this fall will be an exhibition game against Miles College on Thursday, Nov. 4, as Auburn kicks off a month with eight total contests. It will be Auburn's first exhibition contest since the 2011-12 season.
Regular-season play begins Thursday, Nov. 11 as the Tigers host Georgia Southern. After a road trip to Old Dominion (Nov. 14), the Tigers will be back home to take on in-state foe Alabama State (Nov. 16).
On Sunday, Nov. 21, Auburn will face Georgia Tech for the first time since 1997 when the Tigers make the short trek to Atlanta. It will be the first of three games that week; a quick turnaround sends Auburn to Little Rock on Nov. 24, which will be followed by a Friday matinee on Nov. 26, the day before the Iron Bowl, as Charleston Southern visits Auburn Arena.
November comes to a close as North Florida visits Auburn Arena for the second straight season Nov. 30.
Auburn's second home game and fourth overall appearance in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge will take place Sunday, Dec. 5, as Oklahoma State comes to town. The last Auburn home game in the event came during the 2018-19 season as the Tigers set a school record for 3-pointers in a win over Oklahoma. Following finals week, Auburn is back in action at home Sunday, Dec. 12, against New Orleans.
After a road trip to Belmont (Dec. 15), Auburn closes out non-conference play with a pair of home games against Grambling State (Dec. 18) and Kennesaw State (Dec. 20).
The Southeastern Conference schedule will be announced in the coming days. Auburn will play eight home games in league play; SEC opponents visiting Auburn Arena this season will be Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Tennessee.
Game times, promotions and broadcast information for the 2021-22 season will be announced in the coming weeks.
