CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Auburn women's tennis team wrapped up its second weekend of the fall season Sunday at the Kitty Harrison Invitational, hosted by North Carolina.

"Our first two tournaments of the year have given us a lot of valuable information," Auburn head coach Caroline Lilley said. "Some lessons are easier to learn and digest than others. Overall, we have a lot of work to do and a lot of progress to strive for in the coming weeks. Every training block we have will be time where we are intentional and professional with how we work, utilizing the time to embrace the challenges associated with sound preparation."

Carolyn Ansari came up short in her bracket final against UNC's 88th-ranked Reilly Tran, 6-2, 6-0. Sophomore Adeline Flach picked up the Tigers' only win Sunday with a 7-5, 7-6 (4) win over Shahar Biran in the consolation bracket of her singles draw. And Ariana Arseneault dropped a tight match to Mila Saric of William & Mary, 7-6 (5), 7-5.

In doubles, Flach and Chen picked up their first win of the weekend, defeating ODU's Biran and Yakubovich, 6-3, and Ansari and Arseneault dropped a 6-2 match to UNC's Sanford and Tran.

The fall season continues next week when Ansari, Flach, Selin Ovunc and Georgie Axon are set to compete at the ITA All-American Championships, which get underway Oct. 4 in Charleston, S.C.
