Harris honored by hometown of Pine Bluff

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn women's basketball head coach Johnnie Harris was honored by the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff over the weekend for her contributions to women's sports.
 
Harris, a Pine Bluff native, was part of a group of eight women honored as "Most Distinguished Women in Sports" during a reception Saturday at UAPB.
 
The event was part of a day-long affair called Making Her-story, which included local girls' teams and the UAPB women's basketball team.
 
Harris is a graduate of Watson Chapel High School in Pine Bluff and played at UAPB her first two years of college. She is a member of the Watson Chapel Hall of Fame.
