AUBURN, Ala. – Making the trip to one of college track's most esteemed events, Auburn track & field is set to compete in the 94th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays March 23 – 26 at the Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.

"It's a big meet with a great environment," Auburn head coach Ralph Spry said. "Each event is going to be hotly contested. We're looking to continue to get better, stay focused on ourselves and do what we know we're capable of."

Highlighting the team's outdoor opener at the Tiger Track Classic was high jumper Dontavious Hill, who cleared 2.22m/7-3.25 to post the nation's leading mark and clinch the third SEC Field Athlete of the Week honor of his career.

The Auburn throws squad also came out ready to compete as junior Maura Huwalt and redshirt-senior Erik Ebel dominated their respective competitions.

Huwalt picked up not only a pair of event wins but also a pair of personal bests in discus and shot put, throwing 52.76m/173-01 and 15.88m/52-1.25, respectively. Ebel obliterated his personal best in the hammer throw, landing a 68.74m/225-06 mark to win the competition and record the fifth-best throw in the nation.

On the running side, freshman Aalliyah Francis impressed in her collegiate debut, clocking a pair of second-place finishes with a 11.50 in the 100m dash and a 23.43 in the 200m dash.

In the men's 200m dash, the senior trio of Brandon Smiley, Jevony Murray and Dante Brown swept the podium with first through third finishes. All three men will return to action this week.
