Auburn track & field ranked No. 15/18 in latest USTFCCCA poll

AUBURN, Ala. – After two successful meets to open the outdoor campaign, both the men and women of Auburn track & field have been ranked in the first USTFCCCA poll of the season.
 
The Auburn men check in at No. 15 while the women are up to No. 18.
 
Two weeks into the season, the Tigers have five athletes who lead the Southeastern Conference in five different events. On the women's side, Maura Huwalt leads the conference in discus while Keira McCarrell leads both the SEC and the nation in javelin. For the Auburn men, Dontavious Hill has the top mark in high jump, Erik Ebel leads the hammer throw and Alex Spyridonidis holds the lead for decathlon.
 
Senior Madi Malone also put the country on notice last week when she broke her own 3-year-old school record in hammer throw.
 
In addition to McCarrell, Hill, Malone & Spyridonidis all rank inside the national top-five list for their respective events.
 
The top-25 Tigers return to action later this week, March 31 - April 2, at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Florida.
