"I like where we are at this point in the season," Auburn head coach Ralph Spry said. "We're a little beat up, but we still had a solid showing at home last week. The Crimson Tide Invitational is another chance for us to sharpen our tools as we get closer to SECs and NCAAs. There will be some quality competitors that are going to show us exactly what we need to work on moving forward."

Last week, the Tigers had seven event wins, highlighted by Madi Malone's school record toss of 69.12m/226-9 in the women's hammer throw. Malone's six throw series included three marks better than her previous school record set earlier this season. Senior Joyce Kimeli won wire-to-wire in the women's 3000m steeplechase in 9:41.15, the third fastest time in the country this season. The 2021 NCAA Runner Up in the event, it was Kimeli's first steeple race of 2022.
