Putman joins Auburn staff as Director of Recruiting Content

AUBURN, Ala. Connor Putman has joined the Auburn women's basketball staff as director of recruiting content, head coach Johnnie Harris announced.
 
Putman joined the staff toward the end of the 2022 season. He develops all creative strategies for recruiting, social media and player branding.
 
"I am incredibly excited to get to work with Coach Harris and her staff," Putman said. "From the moment I stepped foot on the Plains, they have made me feel like I was a part of their family. I look forward to helping this program grow in recruiting by creating meaningful content and ensuring Auburn Women's Basketball is one of the most recognizable brands in the SEC."
 
Putman came to Auburn after spending the 2021 football season as creative director for football at the University of Louisville. He was nominated for an Emmy for his feature piece "LE8ENDARY" on Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson. He also helped build the foundation for Louisville's NIL program as well as player branding within the football program.

"He has a wealth of knowledge and experience utilizing the latest trends in video, graphic design and social media to help promote our program. Connor will be invaluable to my staff and me as we continue to build our brand and recruit the best players in the country to be part of our Auburn Family."
 
Before his stint at Louisville, he spend two years as assistant athletic director for video production and graphic design at UTEP. He oversaw all creative and live production aspects of UTEP Athletics as well as being a senior staff member within the athletic department.
 
He came to El Paso after spending three years as director of video production at The Citadel, where he helped promote the department through the creation of graphic and video content. He also directed, produced and coordinated staffing for all of the Bulldogs' ESPN3 broadcasts, which received the highest viewership in the Southern Conference during the 2016 football season.
 
Previously, he served as media coordinator for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) from 2015-16. In that capacity he photographed, edited, and produced written content for the RMAC Showcase on Altitude Sports. He also generated weekly highlight video and RMAC Top-5 segments for on-air and online broadcast. Putman managed and oversaw all content for the most-watched Division II YouTube channel.
 
A 2015 graduate of the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs with a Bachelor of Arts in communication and an emphasis in strategic and organizational communication, Putman was a three-time member of the Dean's List. While completing work on his undergraduate degree, Putman worked as a correspondent for Falcon Vision with the U.S. Air Force Academy (2014-16) and interned with Gray Digital Media in Colorado Springs (2014-15). He cut his teeth in the video production business, reporting on local football contests (high school, Division I and professional) as a live anchor, while writing freelance pieces and editing video content behind the scenes.
 
Putman and his wife, Emily, recently welcomed their first child, Luke. They also have a chocolate lab named Murphy.
