AUBURN, Ala. – The 10th annual Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List was released Wednesday, and Auburn was well-represented with eight players making the list.
Of the eight Tigers selected, three are on offense with wide receiver Shedrick Jackson, tight end John Samuel Shenker and offensive lineman Kilian Zierer. The other five are on defense with edge Derick Hall, edge Eku Leota, linebacker Owen Pappoe, cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett and cornerback D.J. James all earning a spot.
All 484 position players (non-specialists) who made the list were evaluated by the Senior Bowl staff – comprised of nine scouts with over 150 years of NFL experience.
Every player on the list is eligible to participate in an all-star game as either a 2018 high school graduate or true four-year player (with five or more games played in three previous seasons). The list does not include many true or redshirt juniors who could become eligible as December 2022 (or earlier) graduates.
The 2023 Senior Bowl will be held Saturday, Feb. 4 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. This past year, the game produced a record-tying 106 total picks for the second straight year, representing 40 percent of the entire NFL draft.
One of those draft picks was cornerback Roger McCreary who represented Auburn in the 2022 Senior Bowl. He was taken in the second round by the Tennessee Titans.
The Tigers have had at least one participant in the Senior Bowl every year since 1967.
