AUBURN, Ala. - After an extremely impressive start to the season Auburn Swim and Dive is looking forward to showcasing 13 of their own at the 2022 Toyota U.S. Open this week. This year's edition of the contest will be held in Greensboro N.C. at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The Toyota U.S. Open is a time when some of swimming's best athletes get a chance to compete against each other. Orange and Blue swimmers have already impressed on the national stage earlier this year in July at the Phillips 66 National Championships.

Brynn Curtis, Abby Gibbons, Anastasia Makarova, Lexie Mulvihill, Polina Nevmovenko, Emma Steckiel Valerie Tarazi, Sohib Kaled Emam, Kalle Makinen, Reid Mikuta, Danny Schmidt, Andrew Simmons and Aidan Stoffle will all make the trip to North Carolina this week.

Led by their head coach Ryan Wochomurka, the Tigers are coming off a solid performance at the UGA.

The women won their portion of the meet, beating No. 9 Florida and No. 11 Georgia. The men finished second and wrapped up a slew of NCAA A cuts in relays to edge out No. 4 Georgia.

A number of individual swimmers jumped into the top-10 all-time for Auburn. However, it was Anastasia Makarova and Reid Mikuta who made the biggest waves, both setting school records in the 100 breast.

Entering the month of December the Auburn men rank No. 15, while the women hold the No. 20 spot. Both will almost certainly enjoy a boost after the stellar fall performance.

The four-day-long competition at the US Open begins on November 30 and will continue through December 3.
