AUBURN, Ala. – Sunday brought the best out of Jeff Shaffer's diving group. A full day of diving delivered five personal bests throughout the competition and all seven athletes hit NCAA Zones scores in their respective events.
It was mission accomplished for the women at the 1-meter on Saturday. Ashlynn Sullivan and Abigail Farrar utilized momentum from solid prelims in the morning to solidify personal bests in the finals.
Sullivan led the group with a 291.15 while Farrar totaled a 286.75 for fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Senior Gretchen Wensuc hit her zones score in prelims with a solid 270.70 and dove well in the finals to finish tenth.
It was a sight for sore eyes to see Conner Pruitt in action on the 3-meter springboard. A day after capturing the 1-meter title, Pruitt had something to prove on Sunday. After a solid 380.00 in prelims to secure zones, the Opelika native dialed up a 413.35 to grab the win.
Whit Andrus also gave the Orange and Blue fans something to cheer about as well. A monstrous 388.05 in finals signaled a personal best, Auburn's fourth of the afternoon.
The Tigers weren't done yet, though. Hunter Kebler nearly grabbed a PR in prelims but his 360.50 was more than enough to give Shaffer's crew its fifth personal best of the day.
Walker Creedon made it a clean sweep of zones scores and conjured a solid seventh-place finish.
