AUBURN, Ala. – Following an impressive performance at last week's Vanderbilt Invite, Auburn senior Dontavious Hill was named the Southeastern Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
In his second meet of the season, Hill jumped 2.21m/7-3 in the men's high jump to win the event. The Mobile, Ala. native not only took the top spot at the meet but also jumped the number two mark in the country. Setting a new indoor personal best mark, Hill became the No.4 all-time performer in AU history behind Donald Thomas (2.33m/7-7.75), Ryan Flek (2.22m/7-3.25), and DJ Smith (2.22m/7-3.25).
Hill and the Tigers' track and field team will be back in action this weekend at the Texas Tech Open & Multi's meet on the Texas Tech University campus.
