ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Auburn track & field capped off the indoor season with a second-team All-American performance by senior Dontavious Hill at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
In the men's high jump, Hill cleared 2.15m/7-0.50 to finish fourteenth overall in the completion. This marks the fourth All-American honor garnered by the Mobile, Ala. native.
Sophomore Favor Ashe was a late scratch in the men's 60m dash final.
Seniors Madi Malone and Kyle Brown earned USTFCCCA All-American status in the weight throw final Friday evening. The duo made history becoming the first male and female in school history to score in the weight throw at the same Indoor NCAA Championship meet.
Earning her fifth All-America honor indoor and seventh overall, Malone finished eighth with a toss of 22.45m/73-8. The most decorated women's weight thrower in Auburn school history scored for the fourth time at indoor nationals equaling two previous eighth place and one fifth place finish.
Making his first NCAA Indoor Championship appearance, Brown threw a new personal-best of 22.44m/73-7.50 on his first attempt to secure sixth place and three points for Auburn.
Auburn finished tied for 46th in the men's team standings with three points, while the women were tied for 54th place with one point.
