AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn women's basketball associate head coach Damitria Buchanan and assistant coach Ketara Chapel were both listed among the nation's top assistant coaches, it was announced this week.

Both Auburn assistants, completing their second seasons on the Plains, were named to the list of Top 50 Most Impactful High Major Assistant Coaches by Silver Waves Media.

Buchanan was promoted to associate head coach prior to last season. She serves as Auburn's recruiting coordinator and helped land a top-25 signing class in her first season with the Tigers. She came to Auburn in 2021 after spending the previous six seasons at Kansas.

Chapel, also in her second season, also has significant recruiting responsibilities for the Tigers. She was part of head coach Johnnie Harris' first recruiting class at Mississippi State while Harris was an assistant there and played four years for the Bulldogs. Chapel then followed Harris to Texas, where she served as Director of Player Development for one season before joining Harris' staff at Auburn in 2021.

The duo helped lead the Tigers to a 16-15 record and the second round of the WNIT in 2022-23, the first winning season and postseason appearance for Auburn since 2018-19.
