Auburn ended the regular season with eight straight SEC wins, marking the program's longest SEC winning streak since winning nine straight league games in 1995 … the eight-game SEC winning streak is tied with LSU for the second longest in the league behind Vanderbilt, who won 10 straight games to start the SEC season … the team is hitting .329 with a 3.21 ERA and have outscored the opponents 77-28 during the winning streak … the Tigers have won five straight SEC series for the first time since 2010 … the team's 12-3 record in the second half of SEC play was the best in the league and marks the program's best 15-game stretch since also going 12-3 in the final 15 games of 2010 … Auburn's 17 SEC wins are the most since going 20-10 and winning the SEC West in 2010 … the team has turned in a winning record in league play in back-to-back seasons for the first time since doing so in four straight years from 1997-2000 … Auburn has finished .500 or better in league play in four of the last six seasons under head coach Butch Thompson (2017, 2018, 2022, 2023) … prior to Thompson's arrival in 2016, the program had turned in just one such season (2010) in 12 years between 2004-15 … the Tigers finished third in the SEC West and fifth in the league standings, marking the first time the team finished top five in the conference in back-to-back seasons since 2002-03 … the Tigers 33 league wins in the last two years are tied with Texas A&M and Vanderbilt for the fifth most in the league, trailing Tennessee (41), Arkansas (38), LSU (36) and Florida (35).
