STANFORD, Calif. – No. 9 Auburn completed the fall portion of its 2023-24 schedule on Sunday at the Stanford Intercollegiate Presented by Dr. Condoleezza Rice. The Tigers recorded a 7-over 291 on the final day. Auburn's three-round total of 874 (+22) resulted in a tied for 12th place finish.

Our fall season has come to a close with ups and downs," Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said after the round. "On the upside, Casey and Ami played better every day. Casey has had a very solid season and she deserves it as she works really hard on all the right things. She is known for her ball striking and it didn't show up this week but her shortgame was sharp!

"Ami played super solid the past two days which is a nice way to end the season. Carys did her job by shooting two solid rounds. I think Anna put a lot of pressure on herself to lead the team and struggled off the tee. Rachel played in her first event this season and had some struggles but I also some some brilliance from her. Just a great opportunity to get some experience as Megan and Katie are in Abu Dhabi for the World Am."

Ami Gianchandani had the best individual finish for Auburn, as her final round 71 (E) led to a three-round total of 216 (+3) and a tie for 29th place. Gianchandani found par-5 success during her third round, as she birdied all three at Stanford Golf Course on Sunday.

Casey Weidenfeld had the best final round for the Tigers with a 2-under 69 that featured four birdies. Weidenfeld finished the event tied for 35th on the individual leaderboard.
Carys Worby recorded her lowest 54-hole score of the season with a 221 (+8) which led to a tie for 58th finish individually.

Anna Foster carded a final round of 75 (+4) and Rachel Gourley shot 76 (+5) to finish the event. Foster and Gourley finished tied for 62nd and tied for 90th in the tournament, respectively.

"The girls will settle in and get caught up with their schoolwork as we have played four tournaments in about five weeks," continued Luellen. "The offseason will be comprised of rest, workouts and improvement."

The next team event for the Tigers will be the Lady Puerto Rico Classic on February 4-6 in Rio Mar, Puerto Rico.
