LAST TIME OUT
››          JaMya Mingo-Young had her first Auburn double-double, McKenna Eddings led five Tigers in double figures, and the Tigers won their eighth in a row as they defeated North Alabama 79-58 Sunday afternoon at Neville Arena.
››          A slow start gave way to a big second half for the Tigers' offense as a three-point halftime lead swelled to 20 late in the third quarter, and Auburn (11-2) never looked back as they closed out an unbeaten December.
››          Mingo-Young once again flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 13 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. It was the eighth double-double of her career and first in an Auburn uniform. She also extended her consecutive free throws made streak to 25.
››          Eddings scored a career-high 14 points to go along with three steals, three rebounds and two assists. She was lights-out from distance, hitting 4-of-5 attempts from 3-point range to help the Tigers pull away in the second half. Three others hit for double-figures as Sydney Shaw, Honesty Scott-Grayson and Kaitlyn Duhon scored 11 points apiece. Celia Sumbane pulled down a season-best nine rebounds, and Shaw had a pair of blocked shots.

AN AUBURN WIN WOULD...
››          Improve the Tigers' record to 12-2, their best mark through 14 games since 2018-19 (also 12-2).
››          Give Auburn a nine-game winning streak, the longest since 2018-19 (also 9 straight).
››          Give the Tigers a win in their SEC opener for the first time since the 2017-18 season (5 straight losses).
››          Be the second straight home win over Tennessee.

AUBURN-TENNESSEE SERIES
››          This is the 61st meeting between Auburn and Tennessee. The Lady Vols lead 48-12, including a 15-6 advantage in Auburn. The Tigers won the last meeting at home against UT, a 71-61 stunner over then-No. 4 Tennessee on Jan. 27, 2022.

LAST MEETING: Feb. 19, 2023, at Knoxville
Tennessee 83, Auburn 76
››          Honesty Scott-Grayson led four Tigers in double-figures, but a game of runs went Tennessee's way as the Lady Vols held on for an 83-76 win at Thompson-Boling Arena.
››          Neither team ever led by double digits, and the lead changed hands six times, but a game of runs saw the Lady Vols answer every Auburn scoring spurt with one of their own. And a hot-shooting second half for Tennessee was too much for Auburn to overcome.
››          Scott-Grayson had her best outing in SEC play of the year, scoring 23 points and sharing the team lead with five rebounds. Sania Wells recorded a season-high six assists as she got the start at point guard.
››          Tennessee shot 56 percent for the game and 67 percent for the second half. The Lady Vols also took advantage of a significant free-throw edge, hitting 22-of-32 while Auburn made 14-of-19. The Tigers shot 44 percent from the field and knocked down six 3-pointers, their best output in SEC play.

SCOUTING THE LADY VOLS
››          Tennessee is 7-5 on the season with four of their five losses coming to nationally ranked opponents. UT was also without leading scorer and rebounder Rickea Jackson for four of those five losses.

››          Jackson averages 19.0 points and 9.3 rebounds in the four games she has played; she had 31 points and 17 rebounds at Florida State Nov. 9 but missed the next eight games with injury before returning to action Dec. 19 vs. Wofford.
