INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After eight women punched their tickets to the NCAA Championships a week ago, the NCAA announced Wednesday that 11 men have earned their way to NCAAs in Indianapolis, March 27-30.
Henry Bethel (100 breast), Michael Bonson (500 free), Grant Davis (1650 free), Ryan Husband (200 free), Sohib Khaled (100 fly, 100 back), Mason Mathias (500 free, 1650 free), Jacques Rathle (400 IM), Danny Schmidt (200 IM, 400 IM), Aidan Stoffle (100 back, 200 back), Nate Stoffle (100 back, 200 back) and Logan Tirheimer (50 free, 100 free) will each represent the Orange and Blue at the Championships later this month.
Kalle Makinen and Jon Vanzandt will accompany the team as relay alternates.
For veterans Bonson, Rathle, Tirheimer and the Stoffle brothers, it will be a third trip to NCAAs. Bethe, Davis, Husband, Mathias and Schmidt will all be making a second trip to the Championships. Sophomore Sohib Khaled will make his NCAA Championships debut.
Last season in just his second year, head coach Ryan Wochomurka's crew finished 10th (127) for the first time under Wochomurka's tenure and the first time since 2016.
The men's NCAA Championships are slated for March 27-30 in Indianapolis, Indiana at the historic IU Natatorium. Live coverage will be provided by ESPN+ throughout the week. Tape-delayed coverage of the men's championships will be on ESPNU at 5 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 2.
