Swim and Dive wraps up regular season at Last Chance

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn Swim and Dive wrapped up its regular season on Saturday as both Sohib Khaled and Kalle Makinen each made waves on the final day of the Last Chance meet.
 
Khaled has been ripping through the Auburn record books in the 100 fly since the beginning of the SEC Championships. After hitting the wall at 45.30 on Friday, Khaled dropped a 45.20 on Saturday morning.
 
Including his 45.48 in the afternoon, Khaled has now pieced together five of the top 25 fastest swims in program history in just the last week.
 
Makinen, on the other hand, has been on a mission for personal bests in the 50 free. Crashing in at 19.18 on Friday, Makinen shaved off .02 second on Saturday, clocking a 19.16, moving up the NCAA rankings.
 
Head coach Ryan Wochomurka and Co. now await the NCAA selections. The list of women's invitees is slated to be announced on Wednesday, March 6, while the men's is set for Wednesday, March 13.
