BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After successful performances at the 2024 Southeastern Conference Track & Field Outdoor Championships, seven Tigers earned All-SEC teams, as announced by the league office Tuesday.

Last weekend, at the James G. Presley Stadium at Percy Beard Track, the men's side finished with 47 points, It's highest total in 10 years. The Auburn women were 12th overall with 24 points.

Tharp dominated the field, winning the 110m hurdle title with a time of 13.18. He broke Renaldo Nehemiah's American Junior (U20) record that was set in 1978. During the preliminary round of the event, Tharp ran 13.24. He broke Auburn SEC and NCAA Champion Ty Atkins' school record of 13.25 set in 2008.

Tharp's time was good enough to earn him a spot in the 2024 US Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, Oregon this summer. The trials will take place June 21-30.

The quartet of Charamba, Ashe, Fahmi, and Ajayi added eight points to the Tigers total with a second-place finish in the 4x100m relay with a season's best time of 38.55. The relay posted the fifth-best time in Auburn history and currently holds the No. 4 time in the nation.

Later, Charamba raced in the 200m. He crossed in 20.00, taking third with the second fastest time in school history. He also earned an Olympic qualifying standard time and posted the nation's fourth fastest time.

Hardin crossed the finish line in 3:43.39 to bring home silver in the 1500m. This was the first time since 2009 that an Auburn freshman on the distance side placed in the top two spots. He also had the best finish in the event by a Tiger since 2010.

May brought home bronze with a personal-best score of 7559 points in the men's decathlon. He equaled his PR in discus throw with 37.69m and put up four new PRs in the 100m (10.85), shot put (13.34m), pole vault (4.50m) and 1500m (4:28.75). May moved into sixth on Auburn's performers list.
