AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn track & field begins the road to the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with the NCAA East Preliminaries in Lexington, Kentucky at the UK Track and Field Complex May 22-25.
A total of 29 Auburn track & field athletes will compete in 20 individual events along with three relays to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon June 5-8 at Hayward Field.
The East and West Preliminaries will take the top 12 finishers in each event, with all 24 competing at the NCAA Championships. The West Preliminaries will take place at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The men's team will send 13 competitors, while the women's team will send 16. Of the 29 competing, three Tigers have competed previously at NCAA Outdoor Championships. The men include junior Favour Ashe and graduate student James Courson with the women including graduate student Shaniya Holley.
Sophomores Michael May and Paula Grauvogel have already punched their tickets to Nationals with the former competing in the men's decathlon and the latter in the women's heptathlon.
