  • Collected five hits, including a league-best four doubles, in the first two games of the series.
  • Turned in multiple hits in four straight games played dating back to the series finale vs. Ole Miss, going 10-for-15 with six doubles during the span.
  • Drove in what proved to be the game-winning run with a RBI double in the sixth inning of the series opener.
  • Went 3-for-3 with two runs and two doubles and reached base in all five plate appearances in the series-clinching win.
  • Turned in a 1.000 fielding percentage in three games at third base.

Cade Belyeu – Fr. – OF – Auburn, Ala.

  • Homered in each of the first two games of the series, also marking his fourth straight game and fifth game in the last six contests with a home run.
  • Became the first Auburn player since 2008 with a home run in four consecutive SEC games.
  • Ultimately ranked third on the team with six of his eight home runs coming in SEC play.
  • Got Auburn's six-run fourth inning in the series-clinching win started with a leadoff triple and run.
  • His solo homer in the fifth inning ended up being the deciding run.
  • Ended the season on a five-game hitting streak and reached in 24 of the last 25 games.

 

PITCHERS OF THE WEEK
Tanner Bauman – Sr. – LHP – Jacksonville, Fla.

vs. Alabama: 1-0, 3.00 ERA, 6.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R/ER, 3 BB, 8 K, .227 B/AVG

  • Making his last start in an Auburn uniform, he turned in career highs with 6.0 innings pitched and eight strikeouts in the series-opening win.
  • The outing marked the first quality start of his career and Auburn's second in SEC play this season.
  • Struck out a batter in all six innings and retired six of the last eight he faced.
  • Stranded seven baserunners in the first four innings of work.
  • Turned in a 3.76 ERA with 25 strikeouts and eight walks in 26.1 innings pitched as a member of the starting rotation the last six weeks of the season.

Chase Allsup – Jr. – RHP – Dothan, Ala.

vs. Alabama: 1-0, 2.70 ERA, 6.2 IP, 7 H, 5 R/2 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, .250 B/AVG

  • Earned the win in a season-high 6.2 innings pitched in the series-clinching win against Alabama.
  • The start marked the longest by an Auburn starting pitcher this season and his 111 pitches were also a career high.
  • Marked his third quality start of the season, including his second career quality start in SEC play.
  • Retired 11 of 12 batters from the end of the fourth through the start of the seventh innings.
  • Went 3-0 with a 2.11 ERA in his last four appearances, striking out 31 and issuing four walks in 21.1 innings during the span.

Auburn's series win against Alabama marked the fourth in the last six meetings with the Crimson Tide … with wins in the first two contests, the Tigers won a season-high four straight SEC games dating back to the last two games at Missouri and five of the last six league games dating back to the finale vs. Ole Miss … Auburn starting pitchers Chase Allsup, Tanner Bauman and Christian Herberholz went a combined 4-0 with a 1.99 ERA in the four-game win streak … the Tigers hit .341 with 18 doubles and 15 homers in the last seven SEC games of the season … 10 of the team's last 14 league games were decided by one or two runs … Auburn ranked third in the league with a .327 average the last week of the season … the Tigers led the league with 11 doubles … the team homered in each of the last eight games of the season dating back to the series finale vs. Ole Miss and went 6-2 during the span … the Tigers homered multiple times in six of the eight contests and totaled 18 home runs … the team homered two times in the nine games leading up to the last game vs. the Rebels and went 2-7 during the span … despite playing just 53 games, Auburn's 81 home runs on the season were the seventh most in program history … the following players were honored during Senior Day Thursday: Caden Green, Carter Wright, Javon Hernandez, Mason Maners, Tanner Bauman, Cooper McMurray, Christian Herberholz, Joseph Gonzalez and Ty Mauldin … the following players were honored during an on-field graduation ceremony Saturday: Green, Hernandez, Maners, Bauman, Herberholz, Mauldin and Konner Copeland … the program set its third straight single-season attendance record with a total attendance of 131, 576 for the 2024 season.
