Gymnastics adds two transfers for 2025 season

The Auburn gymnastics program added two talented transfers for the 2025 season in Alex Irvine and Sarah Zois, head coach Jeff Graba announced.

AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics program added two talented transfers for the 2025 season in Alex Irvine and Sarah Zois, head coach Jeff Graba announced. 

ALEX IRVINE
Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Roseville, Calif.
Previous School: UCLA
Gym: Byers Gymnastics

HIGHLIGHTS: Spent her first year of eligibility at UCLA, competing on vault, bars and floor … Reached a career-high 9.9 on bars and 9.85 on vault vs. Arizona State (3/9/24) … At the club level, 2022 Development Program National Championships competitor, placing third on vault … Winner of the 2022 NorCal State Title on vault, finishing second on uneven bars and third in the all-around … In 2022, placed third on floor and fifth on vault at the Region 1 Championships … Won the bronze on the uneven bars at the 2021 Region 1 Championships.

GRABA THOUGHTS: “Alex is a very talented athlete and comes to us with high-level experience. She gives us depth on all four events, and we feel she can immediately contribute on bars and vault. The sky is the limit for her, and we are excited to have her for the next few years.”

SARAH ZOIS
Class: Senior
Hometown: Crofton, Md.
Previous School: George Washington
Gym: Docksiders Gymnastics

HIGHLIGHTS: Competed for George Washington for three seasons prior to transferring … Five-time All-EAGL honoree for GW – 2024 First Team (vault, beam), 2023 Second Team (vault, beam), 2022 Second Team (vault) … Reached a career-high 9.9 on beam and a 9.925 on vault in 2024 … Finished with a 9.875 NQS on vault and a 9.840 on beam last season … At the club level, 2019 Alternate Level 10 Nationals … 2018 Level 9 State All-Around Champion … Level 9 Easterns Alternate in 2018 & 2017.

GRABA THOUGHTS: “Sarah brings a wealth of experience at the NCAA level as well as tremendous amount of success. She has performed extremely well in some of the biggest meets the NCAA has to offer. She should give us immediate depth on all four events, but we see her contributing quickly on vault and beam. We are ecstatic to have her join our squad and it will be great to have another experienced veteran for this upcoming season.”
