ATHENS, Ga. – Three top 10 swims in Auburn history highlighted the final day of competition for the Tigers at the 2025 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships. After six days of competition, the men finished eighth with 554.5 points and the women placed ninth with 524.5 points.

“We had some tremendous individual and relay performances this week,” said head coach Ryan Wochomurka. “We created some adversity to battle through on a couple of relay DQs but those are things you have to learn, grow from and clean up before we head to Seattle in March.”

Maggie McGuire and Ellie Waldrep kicked off the final day of competition with the women’s 200 back, both reaching the C final. McGuire hit the wall at a season-best 1:54.78 to qualify 19th, while Waldrep grabbed 22nd with a 1:55.16.

McGuire dropped even more time in finals, hitting the wall at 1:54.45 to slide up to 21st. Waldrep would finish 24th with a 1:56.94.

In the men’s 200 back, Nate Stoffle missed the A final by just 0.10 seconds, swimming a 1:40.79 to grab the top seed in the B final. In the evening session, Stoffle swam a 1:40.82 to finish 11th overall.

Moving up to No. 8 all-time in the 100 free was Russian international Elizaveta Klevanovich with a 48.29. The time also earned Klevanovich a spot in the night’s A final. Polina Nevmovenko (48.76) and Lexie Mulvihill (48.82) each made the C final.

Klevanovich went 48.37 in the evening for 8th overall. Nevmovenko (48.54) locked up 18th while Mulvihill (48.69) placed 20th.

Audrey Crawford was already the ninth-fastest performer in the 200 breast. The freshman delivered a lifetime best in prelims with a 2:09.70 to secure a spot in the B final. Zoey Zeller dropped a season-best 2:12.31 to make the C final.

Simply unsatisfied with the No. 9 spot, Crawford mustered a 2:09.30 in the evening to jump to the No. 5 performer at Auburn and finish 10th overall in her first SECs. Zeller would drop time as well, swimming a 2:10.84 to wrap up 19th.

Speaking of season-bests, Jacques Rathle conjured up one of his own in the men’s 200 breast with a 1:55.34 to make the C final. In his second swim, Rathle delivered a 1:56.77 to finish 24th.

Rounding out a week of stout diving, Whit Andrus earned a second list in consoles after a 342.75. Andrus would lock down 13th place after 327.70.

Three more Tigers put points on the board as Talan Blackmon finished 18th with a 303.10, Ethan Swart placed 20th after a 296.50 and Travis Keith grabbed 22nd with a 288.80.

Freshman Julian Stojnowska dialed up another scoring performance in the women’s 1650. Her 16:19.43 was good enough for 17th overall.

Distance king Mason Mathias found himself in the top eight once again this week. A 14:45.11 gave the Alabama native a second fifth-place finish this week. Michael Bonson (14:52.02) secured 16th and Grant Davis (15:04.12) scored in 24th.

Finishing off the 2025 Championships, Klevanovich, Mulvihill, Nevmovenko and Lora Komoroczy combined for a 3:13.47 to finish seventh overall. Klevanovich replicated her 48.29 in the opening split to tie her best 100 free performance.

Ryan Husband, Danny Schmidt, Stoffle and Logan Tirheimer would go a season-best 2:49.69 to finish eighth.
