AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team upped its National Qualifying Score to a 196.925 following an historic Friday night in Coleman Coliseum, holding on to No. 11 in this week’s RoadToNationals.com rankings.

The Tigers (10-3, 3-2 SEC) bested the No. 17 Crimson Tide this past Friday by .400, scoring a season-high 197.750 to Alabama’s 197.350.

Oklahoma remains at the top of the rankings with a 197.865 NQS. LSU moves to No. 2 with a score of 197.540, while UCLA stands at No. 3 with a 197.525. Utah (197.465) and California (197.200) round out the top five.

The rest of the SEC remains in the top 20 – Florida (No. 6), Missouri (No. 8), Georgia (No. 9), Kentucky (No. 10), Arkansas (No. 16), and Alabama (No. 17) following. 

Auburn’s beam squad is ranked No. 5 nationally with a 49.350 NQS. Bars is ranked No. 13 (49.200), while floor upped to No. 15 (49.290). Vault moved in the rankings to No. 11 (49.180).

Individually, freshman Katelyn Jong is ranked No. 16 in the all-around with a 39.380 NQS and is ranked eighth on bars (9.905).

Sophomore Paige Zancan stands No. 27 on vault with a 9.860 NQS, while senior Sara Hubbard is not far behind in 32nd with a 9.850 NQS. Senior Sophia Groth is ranked No. 36 with a 9.885 NQS on floor.

Auburn faces No. 1 Oklahoma in Neville Arena this Friday, February 28. The Tigers and the Sooners will face off at 7 p.m. CT and streamed on SEC Network+.
