AUBURN, Ala. – Capping a stretch of nine home games in the first 12 days of the season, No. 25 Auburn (7-1) hosts Samford (3-4) Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT at Plainsman Park.
The game will be broadcast on the Auburn Sports Network and can be heard locally on Wings 94.3 FM. It will also be streamed digitally on SEC Network+.

Auburn is 26-5 in non-conference games dating back to the beginning of last season and 164-60-1 in non-conference play under head coach Butch Thompson.
Auburn led the league with a .371 batting average last week, including a .423 average in the series vs. Wright State.
The team’s 41 hits in the three games vs. the Raiders were the most in a series since totaling 50 hits in three games at Ole Miss from May 12-13, 2023.
Bub Terrell scored the walk-off run vs. Troy, drove in the go-ahead run vs. North Alabama and hit the first two home runs of his college career vs. Wright State en route to being named the SEC Co-Freshman of the Week.
The pitching staff turned in a 2.85 ERA with 51 strikeouts in 41.0 innings last week.
From the fourth inning Tuesday through the fourth inning Sunday, Auburn pitchers allowed three runs in 33.0 innings - good for a 0.82 ERA.
Last week marked Auburn’s first five-win week since 2022.
Auburn leads the all-time series vs. Samford 78-25-1, including a 48-23-1 mark at Plainsman Park.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Samford enters the week with a 3-4 record after starting with a sweep of Valparaiso before dropping its four games last week at Jacksonville State and No. 2 Tennessee.
Offensively, the Bulldogs enter Tuesday’s matchup hitting .245 as a team and have scored 44 runs in seven games. Sophomore catcher Cade Carr’s .400 batting average, 10 RBI and 1.120 OPS all lead the team. Junior infielder Jeffery Ince went 3-for-9 with a homer in the Bulldogs previous series at Tennessee and is 5-5 in stolen base attempts to begin the season.
On the mound, Samford has turned in a 6.62 ERA with 58 strikeouts in 53.0 innings pitched. Head coach Tony David will send senior right hander Brooks Rice to the mound Tuesday after allowing five runs in 2.0 innings in his first start at Jacksonville State last week.

Plainsman Park now features two new premium club areas in the Broadway Club at Plainsman Park and 984 Club along with the return of the Hall of Fame Club, which opened in 2024. Additionally, the ballpark now has expanded general admission areas in the War Eagle Wall, Tiger Terrance and Plainsman Patio.
Pregame road closures: Event staff will assist fans using crosswalks up until 15 minutes prior to first pitch, at which time there will be a full closure of Donahue Drive between the right field gate and intersection of Heisman Drive for fans to enter Plainsman Park. Donahue will re-open shortly after first pitch.
Postgame egress road closures: Donahue Drive will again be fully closed from right field to Heisman Drive starting between the 7th and 8th innings. It will remain closed until the stadium has cleared of fans, roughly 30 minutes after the final out of the game.
New entrances: In an effort to expedite fan entry to Plainsman Park, two new entrances have now been introduced on the lower First Base Concourse, along Donahue Drive. The traditional Home Plate Concourse and Tiger Terrace gates will continue to provide stadium admission, as well as the premium entrance outside of the Hall of Fame Club for those with reserved seats inside the Hall of Fame Club.
Metal detecting: Consistent with other Auburn Athletics venues, fans entering any gate at Plainsman Park this season will be asked to walk through a metal detector upon entry.
