FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The 2025 Men’s NCAA Championships began on Wednesday inside Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center and the Auburn Tigers made the most of the 200 medley and 800 free relays. Both squads managed to score points for the Orange and Blue as the team sits 14th after night one with 14 total points.

Nate Stoffle, Henry Bethel, Kalle Makinen and Logan Tirheimer kicked off the evening in style, combining for a 1:23.06 in the 200 medley relay to slide into 11th place. The time equaled the Tigers’ effort from midseason at Georgia Tech in November and ties for the seventh-fastest relay in program history.

Not even an hour later, Stoffle was back on the blocks to anchor the 800 free relay. The Georgia native, along with Danny Schmidt, Mason Mathias and Ryan Husband managed a 6:12.82 for 16th overall. Schmidt’s leadoff leg of 1:32.59 was the fourth-fastest 200 free in school history.
