  • Turned in his fourth multi-homer game of the season in the middle game at Ole Miss, hitting a solo homer in the third inning and two-run homer in the ninth.
  • Started Auburn’s scoring in the finale with a solo home run in the fourth inning, marking his team-best 16th home run of the season and 13th of SEC play.

  • Earned his second straight SEC win in a season-high 5.0 innings in the series finale at Ole Miss.
  • Entered the game trailing 5-3 with runners on the corners and nobody out in the fifth inning and went the rest of the way to secure the 17th conference win of the season.
  • Allowed a pair of inherited runners and one other to score in the fifth, but held Ole Miss off the scoreboard the rest of the game.
  • The Rebels had scored 32 runs in the first two and a half games of the series.
  • All 22 batters he faced put the ball in play, but he limited the opposition to just one run on eight hits.

Team Notes

Auburn’s 38 regular season wins are the most since 2010 (39) and the 17 SEC wins are tied for the most since 2010 (20) … it marks the fourth time under head coach Butch Thompson the Tigers have finished with a winning SEC record … the program recorded two such seasons from 2001-15 prior to Thompson’s arrival … with 19 runs in the midweek vs. Jacksonville State, Auburn capped off a four-game stretch dating back to last weekend vs. South Carolina in which they scored 65 runs on 67 hits … the win marked the team’s sixth run-rule victory of the season, including its second in the last four games … the 65 runs scored over a four-game span are the most since scoring 75 runs over four games from Feb. 8-12, 2000 … adding in the three games at Ole Miss, the Tigers have scored 91 runs on 101 hits in the last seven games … Auburn scored 10 unanswered runs in the last four innings to win the series finale against the Rebels … the team’s five-run comeback win matched the series finale vs. Vanderbilt on Mar. 16 for the largest comeback win this season … Auburn doubled 11 times at Ole Miss, marking its second straight series with 11 doubles … the team finished the SEC season leading the league with 64 doubles … the 116 doubles overall are third most in the league and are just 10 shy of being the most in a single season since 2010 (148) … all five of Auburn’s SEC road series were against top 25 teams … the Tigers finished the season 16-12 against ranked opponents, including 8-8 against top-10 teams … eight of Auburn’s 10 SEC series came against teams that finished the conference season with a .500 record or better.
