AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men’s basketball has signed another key piece to its program rebuild with Top 15 international prospect Filip Jović(pronounced PHILLIP JOE-VICH).

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound power forward is the first player in program history to hail from Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He most recently played in Serbia’s top-tier basketball league (Adriatic Basketball Association) for KK Mega Basket, which has produced several NBA players including the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokić.

“We are excited about Filip’s decision to trust Auburn and come to this country to work on his dream of playing at the highest level,” head coach Bruce Pearl said. “Since he was 16 years old, he has trained with and competed against the best in Europe.

“Filip comes to us from KK Mega Basket which has been one of the best development programs in all of Europe with 15 NBA Draft picks since 2013 including Nikola Jokić. Having graduated one of the best frontlines in the history of Auburn Basketball – Johni Broome, Dylan Cardwell and Chaney Johnson – Filip sees the opportunity and the Auburn Family is truly excited.”

This past season, Jović averaged 12.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He also shot 57.1 percent from the field and recorded 16 points and seven rebounds versus NBA G League United in exhibition play.

Prior to Mega, Jović played for OKK Beograd (2022-23) and OKK Spars Ilidza (2021-22). He was a cadet representative of Serbia averaging 12 points and 4.2 rebounds at the U17 World Championship in 2022 and 14.8 points at the U20 European Championship in 2024.

Jović’s international honors include selection to the Belgrade (NIJT) All-Tournament Team in 2023, while playing for the U18 Next Generation Select Team and Next Generation Team Belgrade.
