AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn women’s tennis players DJ Bennett and Ashton Bowers will compete for bids to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships at the ITA All-American Championships, set for Wednesday through Sunday at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.
Bennett and Bowers are both exempt into the singles main draw and will also team up in the doubles main draw. The singles main draw features 64 players, while the doubles draw includes 32 pairs.
Through the ITA All-American Championships, 10 singles players and four doubles teams will qualify for the 2025-26 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. The eight singles quarterfinalists and two feed-in consolation finalists will advance to the NCAA Singles Championship, while the four doubles semifinalist teams will move on to the NCAA Doubles Championship. The NCAA individual championships are scheduled for Nov. 18–23 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.
Last season, Bennett earned a spot in the NCAA Singles Championship by reaching the All-American quarterfinals. She won four consecutive matches in the main draw, including a straight-set victory over No. 9 Nicole Khirin of Texas A&M. As a freshman at Texas in 2024, Bowers advanced to the singles main draw by winning two qualifying matches.
Bennett enters this year’s event as the nation’s top-ranked singles player, according to the ITA preseason individual rankings released in August. Bowers was ranked No. 48 in singles, and the Auburn duo earned a No. 3 national ranking as a doubles team.
Court-by-court live streaming of the event will be available at Playsight.com, and Cracked Racquets will broadcast coverage on YouTube. Live scoring will be available at ScoreBuzzer.com.
