Auburn Made: Week 14 NFL RundownAuburn Made: Week 14 NFL Rundown

Shedrick Jackson made the most of his first career reception, turning it into a 25-yard touchdown, while Owen Pappoe shined in his first extended action of the season.

That and more on this week’s Auburn Made NFL Rundown.

Shedrick Jackson, WR, Las Vegas Raiders
Playing in just his second game of the season after being elevated from the practice squad a day before the game, Jackson made the most of his first target of the season as he hauled in a 25-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter against the Broncos. The reception was the first of Jackson’s career in his fifth game played. After spending the majority of his three-year career on the practice squad thus far, Jackson posted the third-best PFF offensive grade (93.5) and the fourth-best receiving grade (90.5) for wide receivers this week. Jackson’s touchdown was against the fourth-ranked scoring defense (18.1) in the NFL.

Owen Pappoe, LB, Arizona Cardinals
Pappoe saw his first extended action of the season against the Rams and led the Cardinals with a career-high 10 tackles, doubling his previous career high recorded three times last year. The third-year pro’s 10 tackles were tied for the 10th most in the NFL in week 14, and he also added a pass deflection in the redzone early in the third quarter. Pappoe played in only 35 snaps and finished with the sixth most solo tackles among NFL linebackers this week. His 80.5 PFF tackling grade ranked 10th among linebackers, while he turned in a 72.1 coverage grade and 71.6 overall grade.

Jamien Sherwood, LB, New York Jets
Sherwood led the Jets with 15 tackles and added two passes defended this week against the Dolphins. His 15 tackles were a season high and the third most in the NFL for week 14, while the game marked his seventh double-digit tackle performance of the season and 14th in the last two years. After finishing tied for third in tackles last year (158) and ranking sixth in the league with 121 tackles this season, his 279 tackles since the beginning of 2024 are the second most in the NFL. Through 14 weeks, Sherwood remains one of the best run defensive linebackers (82.8) according to PFF, and he led the league with a 86.1 tackling grade this week. The former fifth-round pick posted his third game with a pass breakup and his fifth game without a missed tackle.
