AUBURN, Ala. – The first National Qualifying Score rankings were released this week and the Auburn gymnastics team stands at No. 18 with a 196.390.
The NQS rankings drops the highest and lowest scores before adding the ones in the middle and finding the average.
Oklahoma remains at the top of the rankings with a 197.900 NQS. LSU stays at No. 2 with a NQS of 197.688, while Alabama comes in at No. 3 with a 197.475. Florida (197.456) and UCLA (197.405) round out the top five.
Joining Auburn in the Southeastern Conference in the top 20 – Georgia (No. 6), Arkansas (No. 7), and Missouri (No. 8).
Auburn’s vault team is ranked No. 13 nationally with a 49.145 NQS. Beam squad is at No. 13 with a 49.205 NQS. Floor moved in the rankings to No. 16 (49.215).
Individually, sophomore Marissa Neal is ranked No. 10 on the beam with a 9.890 NQS. Junior Alex Irvine is placed No. 19 on beam with 9.870 NQS.
Freshman Mia Leverton moved to No. 23 on the vault with a 9.845 NQS. Junior Julianne Huff is ranked No. 28 with a 9.840 NQS.
Auburn takes on No. 3 Alabama in Neville Arena this Friday, February 20. The Tigers and the Crimson Tide will face off at 7:45 CT and it will be televised on SEC Network.
