AUBURN, Ala. – Senior forward Keyshawn Hall is one of 30 players that have been named to the Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Men’s College Player of the Year Late-Season Team by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
Hall is averaging 21.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game this season and is the SEC’s fourth leading scorer. Hall is coming off a 29-point, 10-rebound performance at Mississippi State for his 15th game of scoring 20 or more points along with his seventh double-double of the year.
The Cleveland native has made the second most free throws in the nation (179) and is closing in on the school record for single season free throws made (John Mengelt, 208 in 1970-71). Hall is also 44 points away from cracking Auburn’s top 20 for single season points scored. He currently has 504 points this season.
Hall is one of seven players from the SEC on the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year list, along with Darius Acuff Jr. (Arkansas), Nate Ament (Tennessee), Ja’Kobi Gillespie (Tennessee), Thomas Haugh (Florida), Labaron Philon Jr. (Alabama) and Tyler Tanner (Vanderbilt).
The Tigers return to Neville Arena this Saturday, Feb. 21, to host Kentucky in the annual AUTLive game. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
