AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team comes in tied for 12th after the fifth week of competition per RoadToNationals.com following a 196.050 in Athens, Georgia.
The team score moved Auburn’s average to a 196.494, which remains eighth in the Southeastern Conference.
Oklahoma holds on to the top this week with an average of 197.725. Florida moved to No. 2 with 197.575 with LSU closing in at No. 3 (197.519). Alabama (No.4) and UCLA (No.5) finish out the top 5 for the fifth week.
Joining the Tigers in the top 15 from the SEC are Georgia (No.6), Missouri (No. 7) and Arkansas (No.10).
Auburn’s vault team is nationally tied at ninth with an average score of 49.219. Auburn's beam team ranks 12th this week with an average of 49.150 and floor team ranks 15th with an average of 49.231.
Individually, sophomore Marissa Neal ranks No. 20 in the all-around with a 39.292. Junior Julianne Huff is ranked No. 24 in the all-around with a 39.263.
Neal also is tied No. 26 nationally on beam with an average of 9.875, while junior Alex Irvine is tied at No. 29 on beam with an average of 9.867. On the floor, Huff comes in at No. 27 with a 9.892.
Auburn takes on Kentucky this Friday, February 6, in Neville Arena. The Tigers and Wildcats will compete at 7 p.m. CT and will be streamed on SEC Network+.
