AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team improved its National Qualifying Score to 196.517 and moved to No. 15 in this week’s RoadToNationals.com rankings.
The Tigers scored a 197.250 this past Friday at home to up their NQS.
Oklahoma remains at the top of the rankings with a 197.938 NQS. LSU continues at No. 2 with a 197.735 NQS, while Alabama comes in at No. 3 with a 197.570 NQS. Florida (197.480) and UCLA (197.450) finish out the top five again this week.
The rest of the SEC remains in the top 25 – Georgia (No. 6), Missouri (No. 7), Arkansas (No. 8) and Kentucky (No. 23).
Auburn’s vault team moves in the ranking to No. 12 nationally with a 49.179 NQS. Beam squad also moved to No. 12 nationally with a 49.229 NQS. Auburn’s floor remains at No. 16 with a 49.233 NQS.
Individually, junior Julianne Huff is tied nationally No. 18 in the all-around with a 39.295 NQS.
Sophomore Marissa Neal is tied at No. 11 on the beam (9.895), while junior Alex Irvine is tied at No. 25 (9.875) in the event.
Huff and freshman Mia Leverton both tied at 33rd this week on vault with a 9.850 NQS.
Auburn takes on No. 1 Oklahoma in Norman this Friday, February 27. The Tigers and Sooners will face off at 6:45 CT and it will be televised on SEC Network.
