In four games last week, Guevara led the team with nine hits and tied with Bingaman for the team lead with nine RBI. He collected multiple hits in three of four games, including three or more hits on a pair of occasions, and drove in three runs in three of four games.
The junior infielder started the scoring Tuesday vs. Samford with a two-run home run that traveled 445 feet, sparking the team’s nine-run first inning. He came back around for the second time in the first and drove in the ninth run of the inning with a RBI single, becoming the first player with multiple hits in an inning this season.
Continuing his offensive onslaught, Guevara went 3-for-5 in the series opener against Oklahoma to extend his hitting streak to 17 games, the longest by an Auburn player since 2023. The hit streak was snapped despite a pair of hard-hit balls Saturday, but he responded by going 4-for-4 with two doubles, his third two-run home run of the week and three RBI in the series-clinching rubber game against Oklahoma.
Guevara ranks fourth in the league with a .403 average in SEC play and in the last 19 games is hitting .435 (34-for-75) with 18 runs, six doubles, six homers and 18 RBI.
Bingaman’s week was highlighted by a record-setting effort in the series-clinching rubber game against the Sooners as he turned in the first registered three-homer game by an Auburn freshman in program history.
Bingaman hit a solo home run as part of Auburn’s go-ahead three-run third inning and came back around in the fourth inning and hit a three-run home run to cap off the four-run frame, marking his second multi-homer game of the season. He then stepped to the plate with two on and one out in the eighth and ended the game early with his second three-run homer of the contest, sending the ball 439 feet over the videoboard in left center field to run rule Oklahoma.
Bingaman’s home run hat trick was just the fifth in a Southeastern Conference game in program history, including the first since 2011, and the 10th all-time in program history. The team leader with 21 RBI in league play, his seven RBI in the finale were the most by an Auburn player since 2023, the most by an Auburn freshman since 2018, the most by an Auburn player in a SEC game since 2011 and the most by an Auburn freshman in a SEC game since 1998.
The Redlands, California, native also went 2-for-3 with a double in the middle game against the Sooners and started the week going 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the Tigers’ nine-run first inning vs. Samford.
Guevara, Bingaman and the Tigers do not have a midweek game this week before traveling to No. 7 Texas A&M (33-8, 14-6 SEC) for a three-game series in College Station, Texas, Friday through Sunday.
