EVANS, Ga. – Auburn junior Anna Davis made the 36-hole cut at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur on Thursday at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, Georgia. Davis carded a 1-under 71 in each of the first two rounds to qualify for Saturday’s final round.

“The wind picked up on the back nine in the afternoon,” Davis said. “I hit a lot of good shots, just wasn’t placing myself well around the greens. I stayed pretty steady, but it’s always a grind knowing that you’re on the cut line and want a birdie.

“The goal is to be able to play at Augusta, so it’s always nice to be one of the 30 to get to play there. It’s satisfying for sure.”

Davis made the cut by one shot to earn her third career appearance in the final round of the event. The final round will be played at Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday following a practice round Friday.

In Wednesday’s opening round, Davis made two birdies on a pair of par 3s at Champions Retreat Golf Club and posted a 1-under 71. On Thursday, Davis made a birdie on No. 2 before recording back-to-back bogeys on Nos. 4 and 5. She bounced back with birdies on Nos. 7 and 9 to make the turn at 1-under. On the back nine, Davis played steadily and stayed near the cut line before recording a birdie on the final hole to solidify her spot in the final round.

Davis is tied for 24th at 2-under (142) and nine shots behind the individual leader, Asterisk Talley.

The Auburn junior won the event prior to her collegiate career in 2022 and tied for 11th in 2025.
