EUGENE, Ore. — Making her first appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Auburn sophomore Camryn Massey earned All-America honors on the fourth and final day of the meet at Hayward Field.

A native of Gastonia, N.C., Massey finished 23rd with a throw of 49.90m/163-8 to become the Tigers’ first All-America in the discus throw since Madi Malone in 2023.

The school’s No. 2 performer in the event, Massey had an outstanding sophomore campaign, scoring at SEC Indoors in the shot put and placing at SEC Outdoors in both the discus and shot put.

Saturday concluded a historic 2026 for the Auburn program. Juniors Ja’Kobe Tharp and Kayinsola Ajayi both won NCAA championships indoors and outdoors.

Tharp swept both SEC and NCAA titles indoors in the 60m hurdles and outdoors in the 110m hurdles, including a world record of 12.75 during Thursday’s semifinal round in Eugene. Tharp’s world record was the first established at the NCAA Outdoor meet in 50 years.

Friday’s hurdles win was Tharp’s fourth consecutive NCAA title, including wins as a sophomore indoors and outdoors. He equaled Harvey Glance’s four individual sprint titles five decades ago.

Ajayi set the collegiate record indoors en route to a title in the 60m and followed it up with his first outdoor individual title Friday in the 100m dash with a wind-aided time of 9.74.

The Auburn men finished sixth in the team title with 33 points. It was the program’s third consecutive outdoor top 10 finish, equaling the feat accomplished from 1999-2001.
