AUBURN, Ala. – Amy Reif has been promoted to Director of Strategic Operations & Player Development for the Auburn Soccer program, head coach James Armstrong announced Tuesday. Reif receives the distinction after serving as Director of Soccer Operations for eight seasons.

"She has become an invaluable part of our program, and this new role reflects both the impact she has already made and the leadership she will continue to provide as we pursue championships and develop outstanding young women."

In her new role, Amy will oversee the strategic planning and operational execution of the program while expanding her focus on the latest trends in college athletics. She will continue to play a vital role in enhancing the student-athlete experience, supporting player growth on and off the field, strengthening the team’s culture and ensuring the program operates at the highest level.
Prior to her time with the soccer program, Reif received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Auburn University and served as an assistant softball coach for the Tigers from 2000-2004. As a member of the softball coaching staff, she helped lead the Tigers to the first NCAA Regional appearance in program history in 2002.
Reif returned to Auburn to join the soccer staff after 10 years as the head softball coach at Park University in Parkville, Missouri, from 2006-2015. With the Pirates, Reif became the winningest coach in program history, posting a career record of 268-169 and was inducted into the Park Athletics Wall of Honor in 2022. Reif was named the 2008 Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and led the Pirates to its first NAIA National Tournament in 2009.
Reif also has experience serving as a production assistant at ESPN and a paralegal at Basri Law LLC in Liberty, Missouri.
The Kansas City, Kansas, native and her husband, Derek, who played baseball at Auburn from 1997-2000, have two sons, Storm and Cash. Reif is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in educational leadership from Auburn University.
