AUBURN, Ala.— Auburn women's tennis will open its fall season Wednesday at the ITA All-American Championships, running September 19–27 at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina. Ashton Bowers and Ava Esposito, who each qualified directly into the singles main draw, begin play September 23.
Bowers enters ranked No. 34 in singles after a 2025-26 season in which she went 31-6 overall, while Esposito is ranked No. 45 after posting a 30-6 mark. The pair carries a doubles ranking of No. 7.
“All-Americans is a great opportunity for Ashton and Ava to see where they stack up at the early point of the fall season against the best in the nation,” says head coach Jordan Szabo. “They have been working hard in the practices and I’m ready for them to get good match play.”
Main draw play opens Wednesday, September 23, with Bowers and Esposito competing in the singles Round of 64. Winners advance to Thursday's Round of 32. The pair will also open doubles main draw action Wednesday in the Round of 32, with a win sending them into Thursday's Round of 16.
Last season, Esposito was named an ITA Singles All-American after reaching the round of 16 at the NCAA Singles Championship and earned ITA Doubles All-American honors this spring alongside partner DJ Bennett.
