Education: Taylor graduated from Missouri Valley College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training & Exercise Science

Job Responsibilities: Taylor oversees all aspects of strength & condition for women’s basketball

Past Experience: Taylor comes to Auburn after six seasons as the director of strength & conditioning for the University of Tennessee Lady Vols basketball program where he was an integral part of two SEC championships, two Elite 8 finishes, three trips to the Sweet 16, six top 25 finishes, multiple wins over top 10 opponents, and more than 10 WNBA draftees and overseas professional players. Taylor also played an integral role in a $98,000 basketball facility renovation in 2016 that saw the facility expand to 4,350 feet. He was instrumental in renovations that included full length synthetic turf, four true stretch cages, rubber performance flooring, seven sets of power blocks, and a high-powered zone stereo system. 

Before working with women’s basketball, Taylor served as a football assistant strength coach at Tennessee. He worked primarily with the offensive and defensive lineman as well as the specialists, assisting with designing and implementing in-season and off-season strength & conditioning program, developing several future NFL players.

Prior to Tennessee, Taylor served as the director of strength & conditioning at Eastern Illinois University, University of Incarnate Word, and Missouri Valley College where he oversaw the design and implementation of strength & conditioning programs for all sports, purchasing, budgeting, and overall oversight of the departments. Taylor has more than a decade of experience working with elite athletes and is excited to bring his experience and expertise to Auburn University. He is a certified strength & conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and Level 1 Sports Performance Coach through the USAW.
