Experience: Van Emst has worked at Auburn for nearly two decades, joining the staff in July of 2003. His introduction into photography came in 1991 while working for The Plainsman, Inside the Auburn Tigers and the Auburn Athletics Department. Van Emst has previously worked as a staff photographer for the Selma Times-Journal, Opelika-Auburn News and Montgomery Advertiser. He has also performed shot assignments for the Associated press, ESPN, Sports Illustrated, USA Today among many others. He currently also serves as the photographer for the Heisman Trophy Trust and Heisman Trophy presentation weekend.
